I agree with PHP+MySql on the server side.
All my maintaining and updates I need are done via HMG+MySQL.

There is a last hope yet... that someday, someone, create an xBase to JavaScript "compiler", to allow us to handle (at least) the client code in our language.serge_girard wrote:I agree with PHP+MySql on the server side.

Re: HMGScript - continued ?
Very interesting article. Is it an option to build a Javascript-program controlled by a xBase program? The xBase 'writes' the Javascript-program ..
This all reminds of my PL/I days. Please take a look at this 1994 article in which PL/I and C are compared (Power vs Adventure):

Anyway, was not major interest on it.
HMGWEB was one of many projects to drive xBase to the web, that not got so much attention.
A mi en lo particular me interesó mucho HMGWeb, pero el desconocimiento de algunas, o muchas partes ( llámese
jQuery Mobile, framework, javascript, jQuery Foundation, AJAX, etc. ... ) me fue frenando.
Pero me parece una excelente forma de seguir manejando la información con DBF's ya en la Web
( claro, principalmente para consultas y dependiendo de las necesidades )

Hi all
To me in particular I was very interested HMGWeb, but ignorance of some, or many parts (call
jQuery Mobile framework, javascript, jQuery Foundation, AJAX, etc. ...) was holding me back.
But I think a great way to continue to manage information with DBF's already on the Web
(Of course, mainly for consultation and depending on the needs)
