Hi Folks,
as a passionate video amateur I use a small utility to keep an overview on the mass of media that has accumulated over the decades. Last weekend I decided to migrate this little program from 16Bit dBFast to 32Bit HMG.
Short description of the ‘VideoManager’ functionality:
The first program TAB (‘Archive’) shows
a) a list of all original scenes with the date of capture
and the number of the (video-) cassette that contains this data;;
b) the type of video cassette resp. the video format;
c) the video clips that were processed from the original media scenes;
d) the name of the project where these clips belong to.
By ‘doubleclicking’ or via the button ‘Bearbeiten’ the Edit-Window shows up.
The function ‘Duplizieren’ or ‘Neue Quellszene’ adds a new original scene to the actual cassette and duplicates information like CassetteNr. CassetteTitle and VideoFormat. If the CassetteTitel is changed – it will be changed in all records of the same cassette number.
You can search for a specific information
a) by ‘headclicking’ on the columns of the browse field to sort the list in a specific way;
b) by using the search- / filter-function.
The print function allows
a) to print a cassette label with the cassette number and title
as well as a list of all the contained original scenes with their capture date;
b) to print a report of all the data or of a filtered subset.
The dimensions of the different cassette type are contained in a table that can be edited via the popup menu ‘Organisation -> Cassettenformate’ (dimensions are in mm). This table is related to the COMBOBOX ‘Videoformat’
The second TAB (‘Detail’) shows the information as a tree with the selected cassette as 'Root' (selected in the first TAB). So far no further actions (e.g. edit-functions) are implemented in the TREE section.
PS: By the way I have to thank ‘esgici’ for his helpful hints concerning the usage of the TREE control.

Hola gente ,
y el número de la videocassette que contiene estos datos;
b) el tipo de vídeocasete resp . el formato de vídeo ;
c) los clips de vídeo que se procesaron de las escenas originales;
para ordenar la lista de forma específicamente ;
así como una lista de todas las escenas iniciales que figuran con la fecha de su captura ;

Nice work, good implementation;
thank to share ( and nice words about me )
Do you think to add "play" functionality ?
- . Why you are adding .exe file into attachment ? I never understood what is the benefit of this
. I can't ask using "international" language; but if so your work may be more and more useful

Hi Richard:
Nice word. Excellent contribution.
I agree with master Esguici.-
I must repeat Esguici's suggestion, don't attach *.EXE file, and if you please, next time, try to show commands and labels in english, as this is the universal language of this forum and we can follow correctly your developement.-
Thanks to share with us.-
