I am actually looking into the option of using MySQL instead, definetly a lot of work but I see there are several ways to import into MySQL. Any ideas on whats the best way to keep the type of data fields intact?

I am using the HMGSQL bridge for using MySQL/SQLite connecting them with just four functions namely connect2db(), sql(), miscsql() and c2sql().
