No sé que problema puede ser el Error que se te ha
producido.

Mis equipos son con Windows 8.1 a 64 bits y un segundo
equipo con Windows Vista a 32 bits.

Si te fijas el primer sample que creo que es el que tu tienes
está preparado para compilar en 64 bits ---> build.3.4.0_64.bat
y hay más abajo otros ficheros que le mande a Esgici que
están compilados en 32 bits --> build.3.2.bat

A mi las dos versiones me funcionan correctamente en mis
dos ordenadores, tambien los que hay que hacer es instalar las
Fonts si queremos ver los numeros con "DS-DIGIT.TTF"
