Clipper Report Class

Post by Pablo César »

Hi Anand,

First I want to thank you for your contrib and give you my feedback in my tests.

All reports now in left margin it was fixed.

The only point is at field when is large name city is (for example):
  1. For PDF, it's not space separation with state field.
  2. For HTM, there much space between field as follows:
    Screen133.png
    Screen133.png (29.63 KiB) Viewed 5715 times
It was open in Google Chrome and IE (same result)
In the generated worksheet everything is correct. It could only do auto-adjust in columns size as something that would improve in viewing.
Not that this is obligatory to do, but would be very practical if there was possibility to do.

Congrats Anand, very cool. :P

Certainly this its goes to my chest of useful libraries. :)

And I hope it's made available on HMG in next versions. :P

Finally found some free time to look at the Report Class.

I did some r&d on "absolute position" in html and found that it was much better than the normal "table" logic I was using for HTML output.

I have added a new menu, 'HTML Absolute Position File'. The output htm file is done using inline css code for "absolute position".
Attached the full source code here for version "1.004".

BTW I want to know, what is best approach ? i.e. to attach the latest zip in next message or always edit and attach on the first message ? You see one has to go through lots of messages to find the last version.

Regards,

Anand

Hi Anand,

Thank you for your update and interest for fixing.
I did not tested yet, but I promise to give you my feedback.

Regarding this:
BTW I want to know, what is best approach ? i.e. to attach the latest zip in next message or always edit and attach on the first message ?
In my usual updates of my projects I have remove all previous versions, because I prefer to NOT giving space for missunderstanding in old behaviour of old versions. So I post always the last my best version of my projects at last message of my topic and remove old ones.

I see in this forum, users are very often to use OLD versions... :|

I really do not accept this bad and vicious behavior of not using the latest version available from our colleagues... (really I do not support that).

So, my best tip is ALWAYS thru away old versions...

IMHO, hear a song from vinyl is not the best option... only old people likes this thinking... I do not ! !

Thanks Anand Sir, Again,
Really , this is good to help us.
I just want what you have provide
I imagine , I want to embelle report source code inside application
that is good to us, as well as more efficent,
I am not aware with class, and not used much more class ,
I wrote simple application for our inhouse requirement in Clipper, Visual foxpro and Visual Basic etc.

well , however , we are using , R&R or Crystal Report Util. , sometime user can be done something wrong with
our external stored file.
I will definately try well,
thanks again, all members to always active and try to help each other to us.

thanks all
