How to report a BUG...

Post by Roberto Lopez »

Hi All,

I've PRAYED across years about how bug reports should be done to HELP ME to process in a FAST and EFFICIENT way.

I'll pray again right now:

Basically, could be extremely helpful for me, that you create a small sample, showing the bug and send to me to the HMG's SourceForge bug tracker.

I not always have enough time to read all messages in the forum or personal messages to find bug reports there.

I've just found an old bug report (about browse) in the 'Wish-list' forum area :)

Please... be nice with me... :)

TIA.

Regards,

Roberto.

Roberto

Some clarification and a proposal:

- These directions does not refers to code published here to be tested (ie: recent 2.8.x tests). In such cases, I expect that the feedback come in the same thread used to publish the code.

- I guess that SourceForge bug tracker could be a little cumbersome for some users, so (if Rathinagiri agrees) and you think that could be good, we could create a new forum area to report the bugs as an alternative.

What do you think?

Roberto.

I personally consider this forum more "interactive", so it's a good idea to have a bugreport Topic.

Yes. We can have a new forum, exclusively for bugs, and right now we can start that.

However, I want that forum be empty always. :)
East or West HMG is the Best.
South or North HMG is worth.
...the possibilities are endless.

I had created a forum called HMG Bug Reports here. I think that will enable the users to report any bugs here.
East or West HMG is the Best.
South or North HMG is worth.
...the possibilities are endless.

I agree with boys - it's good idea (not "bugreport Topic", as apais said - but "bugreport forum area").

Thanks for the new "bug report" forum.

Sorry Rathi, we shouldn't disappoint "bugs". (I know "they" are very angry with HMG due to small count in their numbers)
