Hi All

Harbour has a DB driver name is RDDADS and tons of ( I guess more than 100 ) ( sadly undocumented ) functions prefixed "ADS" ( most probably implies Advantage DB Server ).

Does anyone use / try / test it ?

If any, does you recommend to use it ?

By the way, we haven't a forum Harbour specific; it will be useful ?

HMGforum think can hold a Forum on Harbour, depositing it on the same query,
This would be possible if Mr. Rathinagiri enable it.
I need that exists despite the Harbour mailing list.

I use ADS at work, is very safe, no corruption of indices, quite fast, all in local networks
I have not tested on Internet
we have more than four years working smoothly

No remote net required, LAN is sufficient for me.

so IMHO a new forum / category will be better.

Esgicit here is no manual for harbor, but there are forums Sysbase
but its use is as another rdd, with the same commands
append
replaces
seek, etc
but you can use SQL statements
Install the server is simple, and you can use the Advantage Architect, to handle your data dictionaries, add users, ect.
