Thanks Esgici, that's a good work.

That's work well, but I think I've made a mistake because in spanish A and Á are the same words, also a and á, and so long {E = É; e =é; I = Í; i = í; O = Ó; o = ó; U = Ú and u = ú}. For example:

This is how Excel makes the sequence:
Orden Excel
Orden Excel
Orden_EXCEL.jpg (127.84 KiB) Viewed 5352 times
And this is my index sequence:
Orden Index
Orden Index
Orden.jpg (199.38 KiB) Viewed 5352 times
Thanks.

Saludos, regards

Hola Algernon

I'm glad that you like it :)

In this implementation there isn't "equal" letter, each letter is small (before) or great (after) than another one.

Regarding your example, for sequencing Excel like, please simply change your string from

Code: Select all

#define cEspCharSet "AÁaáBbCcDdEÉeé...
to

Code: Select all

#define cEspCharSet "ÁAáaBbCcDdÉEée...
I hope that this will produce expected result.

Me gustaría presentar la función inspirado en esgici, que cumpla con los objetivos de Algernon

I'd like to present the function inspired by esgici, that fulfills the goals of Algernon

Code: Select all

#define cEspCharSet_1 "AÁaáBbCcDdEÉeéFfGgHhIíJjKkLlMmNnÑñOoPpQqRrSsTtUuVvWwXxYyZz"
#define cEspCharSet_2 "AAaaBbCcDdEEeeFfGgHhIíJjKkLlMmNnNnOoPpQqRrSsTtUuVvWwXxYyZz"

******
*
* EspAColSeq : Español Alternate Collating Sequence
*
FUNC EspAColSeq( cInStr ) // Español Alternate Collating Sequence
   LOCA cOutStr      := "",;
        cLetter_in   := "",;
        cLetter_out  := "",;
        nCounter     :=  0,;
        nChrPtr      :=  0

   FOR nCounter := 1 TO LEN( cInStr )
      cLetter_in := SUBS( cInStr, nCounter, 1)
      nChrPtr    := AT( cLetter_in, cEspCharSet_1 )
      cLetter_out:= IIF( nChrPtr == 0, cLetter_in, SUBS(cEspCharSet_2, nChrPtr, 1 ))
      cOutStr     := cOutStr +  cLetter_out
   NEXT

RETU cOutStr
Beware! Not tested!

BTW...
1) Look at #define cEspCharSet_1 , I suspect the mistake, " í " shouldn't be " i " ? As you know, the bugs like to multiply...
2) WTF, :? why 'The Google Translator' replaces 'esgici' by 'Bicahi' (http://translate.google.pl/translate_t? ... =en&tl=es#)

Thanks to participation and enhancement :)

It's seem that you are right, but the correct answer will come only from Españols ;)

Really interesting :o

I don't know Google got from where this info :shock:

In fact, (as you are interested) "Esgici" means "ragman" and "Bicahi" means "who haven't demand for advancement" ;)

BTW, attached new HMG icon derived by using Irfanview from new HMG logo.

I don't know this format (54x54 pix) is suitable for our forum an especially HMG apps. Since this is you who starter of this "3D" concept in HMG logo, please check it and if it's not applicable please build a new one :)

thaks for the explanation, I've been ever wonder about your very untypical nickname :)

I've re'created your work to get the more acceptable look (for me, of course). Maybe it's now not the razor-sharp as yours, nonetheless I managed to get rid of the black pixels which spoiled the view. Anyway, the decision is yours, I've never pretend to be an artistic expert ;) Because I use WinXP, 32x32 px is enough for me, but having the right tools, we can create easily the icons with desired size.

BTW, in the subfolder \SEmboss\source you can find the template of HMG logo, sized more suitable for these works.

What is typical ?

My nickname is in my own language, as yours and perhaps as all ;) It isn't ?

Thank you.

It's more acceptable look for me too.

I wish that will be same for our friends.

Thank you very much to all.

It's fantastic, this forum is helping me a lot to learn HMG and participants are committed to this project.

I did not test the function, but at first sight think that solves my purpose.

Thanks a lot.
