Thank you Roberto.

As a war footing, I had stopped the user activation by themselves. The admin has to activate them manually. So, we can activate after seeing their ip, id, mail address etc.,

Meanwhile, I would create an Introduction Forum, where the new members can post. They cannot post in other forums at all. On seeing their first post and their interest in our Board, we can promote them to regular users.
East or West HMG is the Best.
South or North HMG is worth.
...the possibilities are endless.

I agree.

Besides that, Could be possible to automatically ban the specific spammers ip's (or ip range) ?

This could be your job more easy.

But, banning of ip ranges might restrict some genuine users too. Isn't it?

I agree with you Mr. Rathi....

How about limiting the posting of new member to 1 post a day, as he/she build the trust of the forum regulars, we can then elect or in your opinion lift the limit of posting. Just a suggestion I don't know if that would work or possible.

I've was thinking in a temporary ban, but, you are right. It could damage genuine users too.
