East or West HMG is the Best.
South or North HMG is worth.

Thanks Rathi for sharing your story. You know couple of days ago when I was writing in the thread dedicated for Roberto's birthday, was going through an urge to know all the members more personally. Roberto mentioned a few personal experience in that thread and now you came up. So I was delighted to read your story.
Wish you all the best in your life...and happy programming (in HMG, ofcourse)!
Regards,
Swapan

Hi Rathi!
Cool story!
I'll try to write about my own way on "computer road" (not right now; maybe at weekend).
I began at "ancient time" (1979) on "mid-frames" a-la PDP-11 (and earlier).
Woooh - it was a magic time for computing! ))

I'm really touched by your experience with HMG.rathinagiri wrote:<...> here I continue...

I am so HAPPY and PROUD to be part of the HMG family.
Thus, this story has a happy ending.
It is really impressive to me, the different ways that HMG had influenced people.
During these seven years some bad things had happened to my life (very bad indeed) but working in HMG had helped to me a lot, because I've was capable to focus in positive ideas and (believe it or not) programming is a pleasant activity for me
You've talked about 'karma'. In a previous post, I've talked about dreams .
I've done something that I liked. I've done because it was an old dream and it could serve to me to survive working as a programmer.
As I've said, it's still surprising to me, that HMG had been useful for other people.
So, again, thanks to all of you.
I think that this is a good opportunity to recommend to new forum readers (I've already done some time ago) the 'last lecture' by Professor Randy Pausch.
