Beginning with HMG. Which version 3 or 4 ?

Beginning with HMG. Which version 3 or 4 ?
I am beginning with HMG and need advices from the older guys .
Should I invest my time in version 3 which seems to be the stable one or should I go directly to version 4 ?
I don´t need immediate results since I will play around with the tool before spreading any production application.
I am tempted to start with version 4 but, is it stable enough ?

HMG 3.0.35
Because, you can easily transfer your projects to HMG 4 later.

since you don't have the need to have immediate results, I ask you to start with HMG4...
it's not true that it's easy to migrate from HMG3 to 4...

Hi Maurício,
HMG4 is under developping, HMG3 is a stable release.
There are, there will be differences, but I think: "to start" it's better HMG3. More people can give you help with this release and you can obtain good profit; on HMG4 you are a tester.
Best regards

Re: Beginning with HMG. Which version 3 or 4 ?
I agree with Sudip and Luigi: start with HMG3.
There are so many parts missing in HMG4 or not working as expected that you will habe no fun with it.
And it looks like the development has nearly stopped since 1 month. (?)

Re: Beginning with HMG. Which version 3 or 4 ?
I try to use other wording:
if you want to develop software that can run on your mobile phone, windows and linux computers, hmg 4 is the way.
hmg 3 is windows only.
if you want to use a stable, completed framework, hmg 3 is your friend.
hmg 4 is being developed. It is correct that after a quick start, development has stopped for a while. programs are developed by developers, they don't develop themselves..
This message has a precise timing. Just today I restarted porting of EDIT EXTENDED hmg 3 command to hmg 4 and I must say that it is NOT easy since there are different requirements between hmg 3 and 4. Not everything is implemented, not everything is implemented the same way...
I can't just convert code, I need to "port" it to hbqt....
Anyway, in the next days I will do some commits. But are still interested developers around ? If it becomes a project of very few people, probably the 100% compatibility goal could be abandoned...

Re: Beginning with HMG. Which version 3 or 4 ?
Thanks everyone that responded !
My final goal is to make multiplataform Windows/Linux interfaces to my systems.
That's the reason I am here triing to use HMG.
So, to me, seems that mrduck's advice in starting with version 4 is the way to go.
But, if the development is/will be stucked I think I will wait a while to start and/or look for options...
