It would be great to have possibility to print browse content...
Thank you Marek.

You just give me what are all the parameters be provided. We can iterate with do while .not. eof()

Anyway, this model is to convert any type of data ( be it grid/array) to character array in memory first.
East or West HMG is the Best.
South or North HMG is worth.
...the possibilities are endless.

I wish I could compile/test-drive it with hmg-extended. Unfortunately i cannot (and I have no time, right now, to try to adapt it).
But compiling it with hmg 3.4.3 looks very nice and professional.
Congrats! Rathi.

Now, if I may, i'd like to point out some considerations regarding this promising project:
  • - it'd be more flexible if it was/be independent from external libraries (like hfcl/bostaurus and friends)
    - it'd be better if it could be used "out-of-the-box" by any (win) harbour application, be it hmg, hmgextended, console, etc.
Is it possible? Don't really know, but I think that at least the "array printing" part of it, could be.
This capability, would be extremely useful for many people of the wider harbour community and would invite them
to come closer to minigui programming. (in other words, it could become a quick reporting/printing engine, something that is missing from harbour realm --and I'm talking about opensource/non-commercial libraries).

Nevertheless, it is a great job!
Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.

best regards,

Thank you Pete.

Even now, if you remove showgui() method and compile with harbour csv export and html export will work. Even we can make a small method to print array into a text file.

I didn't yet tried it, but I trust your words... ;)

Sure, it will be a good feauture.

Another thought: why the whole thing should been "tied" with grids? As i understand it, the central (and wonderful altogether) idea is to print (or export) an array of different data in a well formatted output. Probably it should be independent of any gui control ('grid', 'browse', whatever) and just get the "array-fied" data connected to them. (My point is, instead of "gripntprint/"gridplus" the project should be most array-centric, that is, more "arrayprint"/"arrayreport" oriented). I'm not sure am expressing my thought precisely, but I hope you understand what I mean.

P.S.: Strangely, I didn't see much reaction/feedback/ideas by other users on this topic. Isn't it of high interest, or what? 8-)

:) Thank you Pete.

I have already done the array to text file part.

It is very plain and we can do further features added too!
GridPlus.zip
(12.75 KiB) Downloaded 329 times
Now I am working on the HMG Printing module.

Your idea is nice. First of all I thought of a name resembling Power Builder.

We can thought of other names too. Like RepMan etc., Suggest some names too. :)
