How many dbfs could be opened simultaneously?

I thought it was only 7. But, when the 8th file could also be opened I thought what would be the maximum.

Really don't know I don't work on it continuous, time to time and when I need a thing. Began perhaps one or two year after HMG, so working is continues for many year, not only a few days .

Up to Harbour limit : 255.

BTW, i think i have dug out a bug.

If you do: retrieve->display->status->close
and then: retrieve->list->apply-><error>

Though I want to say "Thanks for bug report", this clause is very abrased by very often using by someones in somewhere (surely you understood wath I mean) .
